Psychology Team

David brings his 30 years of experience in child clinical psychology to his consulting role, assisting Chief Psychologist Dr. Jeff Chang with the interns on the psychology team by sharing interesting memories and reflections from his long career along with an occasional nugget of wisdom. David’s past experience had him working in the private and public school systems, social service agencies, private practice, teaching at the graduate level, and the hospital system, retiring in 2018 from his position as an inpatient child psychologist with Alberta Health Services. David also volunteers by sitting on the Board of the Epilepsy Association of Calgary, as well as speaking to his thoughts and experiences about the role of empathy and compassion in health care with SAIT Paramedic students. On most days though, you’ll find him at home enjoying time with his wife and kids, cooking and baking new recipes, and noodling on the bass guitar.
