Martha Szumowska
Instructional Assistant
Martha started with Third Schools in 2022, bringing her experience and dedication to her role as an Instructional Assistant in the Third Academy Elementary 4 classroom.
Growing up in the town of Bowmanville, Ontario, Martha is first generation Canadian, coming from a Polish family. Martha has built her career in the field of Education with ample experience working within schools and residential treatment centres. Armed with an advanced diploma in Child and Youth Work from Loyalist College, Martha has honed her skills in creating a nurturing and effective learning environment. Her journey in the education sector has been marked by a passion for supporting the growth and development of young minds. Martha understands the importance of a holistic approach to education, and strives to integrate her knowledge and experience to provide support to both students and colleagues
Outside of the professional realm, Martha is recently engaged and proud Ciocia (auntie) to her niece and two nephews. She enjoys taking her dog Kai for walks, golfing, coaching modeling, and connecting with her family and friends. Her roots in Ontario remain a vital part of her identity, driving her passion to create a positive difference in the lives of those she encounters.
