Teacher Elementary
A Calgary native, Mr. Lieske has enjoyed teaching in the elementary program at Third Academy and is proud to be the lead teacher in our E4 classroom this year. He holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia as well as a Bachelor of English from Mount Royal University.

An important belief that guides his teaching practice is the thought that each child learns best with a personalized approach designed to help utilize their strengths during the educational process, thus enhancing their academic success. Mr. Lieske holds a great zeal for puzzles and games, frequently employing them during lessons to improve the critical thinking skills of his students and aid them in their ability to adapt flexibly when encountering unknown situations or problems. His central goal as a teacher is to help his students develop into conscientious citizens who question the world around them as they strive to improve it.

When not at work Mr. Lieske enjoys spending time at home reading and tinkering alongside his animal menagerie that includes multiple dogs, birds, and fish. He can also be found enhancing the strategic thinking of other in board game events where he both teaches and learns from players both young and old.
