Jibek Tashtanalieva
Instructional Assistant/Autism Lead
Jibek is originally from Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia. There she attended postsecondary studies at the Bishkek Humanitarian University and was awarded her Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Economics. As a speaker of over four languages, she lectured students at the Kyrgyz National University in the subject of Korean.

Jibek moved to Canada in 2009 where she was introduced to a family in Alberta with a child with special education needs. This encouraged her to embark on a rewarding career serving these children. She began working for programs providing one-on-one assistance to children and families sponsored by the province's Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD).

Prior to joining Third Schools in 2018, Jibek worked as a child development facilitator and classroom assistant at Renfrew Educational Services, Pace Kids, and the Calgary Board of Education.

Jibek is currently assigned as an Instructional Assistant in Third Academy's E3 Classroom. She thoroughly enjoys helping the students in this class achieve their personals goals, as well as to make their lives easier for both themselves and their families. Jibek is especially interested in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and has been appointed Third Schools' Autism Lead.

Outside of school, Jibek uses the knowledge and skills she has gained in Canada to volunteer to provide support for children with special needs in her home country of Kyrgyzstan. She also loves to spend time with her family.
