Angela Emoff
Instructional Assistant
Angela joined Third Schools as an Instructional Assistant in 2024 and immediately felt kinship with our school system as it aligns with so many of her values, both personally as well as professionally. She believes that children are the foundation of the future and that it is up to educators/mentors to guide and protect them.

Angela’s current assignment is the Third Academy M3 Classroom, working with students in Grade 9. She thoroughly enjoys working with this group of young adolescents and they greatly appreciate Angela and her “random acts of kindness.” She believes that the world is always in need of more joy in the most random of times.

Angela earned her Human Services Diploma at Columbia College and completed the graduate Autism Behavioural Science Program at Fanshawe College. For over 20 years, she has directly applied her academic studies through her work with children and adults with complex needs and mental health difficulties, specializing with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Prior to joining Third Schools, Angela was employed by Vecova, a Calgary based charitable organization supporting individuals with disabilities.

Angela is an incredible lover of history, literature, poetry, and inspirational quotes. She takes inspiration from Margaret Mead’s adage: “Children must be taught how to think, not what to think.”

Family is important to Angela and she is a proud mother of five children. As she puts it, “all of my children are shining stars as they provide so much light to my life.”
