Bus Driver
Originally from Ontario, Sherry Stone joined the Third Academy team after deciding to pivot from the traditional customer service industry toward a more specialized career in student transportation. Having already established herself as a professional school bus driver, Sherry was looking for an environment where she could use her skills to make a deeper impact. She joined our family after discovering the opportunity on Indeed, eager to bring her driving expertise to a school that aligned with her desire for a meaningful career.
Sherry’s background is rooted in caregiving, as she holds a Personal Care Assistant Diploma. This training provides her with a unique perspective on student needs, which she applies to her primary responsibility: getting our students to and from school safely every day. She views her role as an essential part of the school's ecosystem, ensuring that the journey on the bus is as secure and reliable as the time spent in the classroom.
What drew Sherry to Third Academy was the school’s reputation for going above and beyond for its students. In her own words, supporting students with diverse learning needs is about developing trust and creating a “safe space” before they even walk through the school doors. Outside of her time on the road, Sherry is an avid fan of the mystery genre and can often be found binge-watching true crime documentaries to unwind.
