Martha Neher
Instructional Assistant
Martha Neher is a dedicated Instructional Assistant who has been an integral part of the community since joining Third Schools in 2022. She brings a wealth of experience and compassion to her role in the Third Academy Elementary E3 classroom, and is committed to creating a nurturing and effective learning environment for every student she works with.
A first-generation Canadian of Polish descent, Martha grew up in Bowmanville, Ontario. She holds an advanced diploma in Child and Youth Work from Loyalist College and has built a robust career in education, with extensive experience supporting youth in both schools and residential treatment centres. Her professional journey is driven by a deep passion for the holistic growth and development of young minds. Martha consistently integrates her specialized knowledge and hands-on experience to uplift and empower both her students and her colleagues.
Outside of the classroom, Martha is engaged and loves her role as a proud Ciocia (auntie) to her niece and two nephews. She enjoys taking her dog, Kai, for walks, golfing, coaching modeling, and staying closely connected with her family and friends. Her Ontario roots remain a vital part of her identity, continuously inspiring her to make a positive difference in the lives of everyone she encounters.
Martha’s approach to her students is beautifully captured by a favorite quote from Christopher Robin: “You’re braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.”
