Lori Commet
Instructional Assistant
Lori Commet is a dedicated Third Academy Instructional Assistant who brings a wealth of life experience, warmth, and patience to the classroom. She first became part of the Third Schools community as a volunteer in 2016 before officially joining the team in 2017. Over the years, Lori has supported students across a variety of elementary grades, embracing the unique joys and challenges of each age group. She firmly believes that every child should be celebrated for their individuality and provided with a safe, caring environment where they can truly thrive.
Lori’s path to her current role is a testament to her lifelong commitment to caring for others. After high school, she initially pursued post-secondary studies in education, completing three years of her program before pausing to raise her four wonderful children. During those years, her dedication to youth development never wavered; she ran a successful dayhome and dedicated countless volunteer hours to her children's schools, bands, and sports teams. She also spent 20 years working as a Pharmacy Technician before ultimately returning to her original passion—education—and finding her professional home at Third Schools.
Outside of the classroom, Lori cherishes time spent with her family, her two dogs, Zoey and Gus, and visiting with good friends.
