Madeline Jorgeson
Instructional Assistant
Born and raised in Calgary, Madeline Jorgenson has always been drawn to the field of education. She is inspired by the natural curiosity and honesty of children, and she believes that working in a school setting is about much more than academics—it’s about fostering confidence, social skills, and a lifelong love of learning.
Madeline’s educational background includes studies at St. Mary’s University and the University of Lethbridge, where she pursued a degree in Education. While her journey shifted focus when she stepped away to raise her daughters, her commitment to learning never wavered. Her perspective is deeply informed by the Montessori philosophy, having seen its benefits firsthand through her own children’s schooling, as well as her hands-on experience supporting a close friend’s son with non-verbal autism.
At the heart of Madeline’s work is the Third Academy mission of "giving hope." She believes hope is built through:
Madeline’s world is rounded out by her family, including her partner and her two daughters, Bella and Katie. Her home is also shared with a lively group of "fur babies": Arlo the dog, and her two cats, Mufasa and Betty.

- Patience and Consistency: Creating a safe, predictable environment where students feel supported.
- Celebrating Small Wins: Recognizing the individual milestones that others might miss.
- Building Trust: Helping students develop faith in themselves and the community around them.
