Jolaine Neild
Teacher
Jolaine Neild joined Third Schools in 2014 and is a teacher in the elementary program at Third Academy. Her career has long focused on special education, beginning with early intervention for special needs children before she came to Third Schools.
Guided by the motto, “Heal the heart, before teaching the brain,” Jolaine is passionate about social-emotional learning. She constantly strives to discover new techniques to help her students, a practice that aligns perfectly with Third Schools' core pillar of personal development.
Jolaine thrives on the relationships she builds with her student. These relationships allow her to help students reach their goals, learn lifelong skills, and grow into confident, resilient members of society.
She holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Calgary, a diploma in Montessori Elementary Education, and additional training in Reggio and sign language. In her free time, Jolaine is an avid reader of suspense novels, a frequent moviegoer, and a budding artist who enjoys painting and diamond painting.
