Bus Driver
Originally from Edmonton, Mike joined the Third Academy family in September 2025. His professional journey includes a 13-year tenure at Nortel and experience teaching electronics to high school students. Holding an Electronics Diploma, Mike blends technical precision with a heart for education, making him a natural fit for our student support team.
In his role as a School Bus Driver, Mike is committed to providing students with a safe and comfortable journey to and from school each day. He prioritizes open communication and maintains a helpful attitude, believing that a positive start on the bus sets the tone for a successful day of learning. For Mike, building trust and providing consistency are the most important ways to support our students as they head to the classroom.
When he isn’t behind the wheel, Mike is a dedicated NASCAR collector, spending time curating and maintaining memorabilia, die-cast cars, and historical items related to the world of professional stock car racing. He also cherishes time with his two adult children and his two dogs. As someone who values the companionship of his pets, he enjoys the daily care and bond that comes with being a devoted dog owner.
