Ellen Donaghue
Bus Driver
Originally from Montreal, Ellen Donaghue brings a wealth of experience and a deeply personal connection to the Third Academy community. Before joining our team, Ellen built a successful professional background working with the Calgary Real Estate Board and serving as a Cashier Supervisor at Shoppers Drug Mart. Her journey to Third Academy was inspired by her family; after seeing the impact the school had on her grandson during his time as a student here, she was encouraged by her daughter to join the Third Schools "family" herself.
Ellen’s commitment to service is backed by her educational background at SAIT, where she completed both the Library Technician and Office Assistant programs. Today, she serves as a vital link between home and school, focusing her expertise on the safety and security of our students. As an InBus driver, her primary mission is ensuring that every child has a safe, reliable journey on the bus every day, providing a consistent and supportive presence from the moment they step onto the vehicle.
Driven by the belief that Third Academy truly goes above and beyond for its students, Ellen is dedicated to supporting those with diverse learning needs in any way she can. She finds great fulfillment in our mission of "giving hope" and carries that spirit into her life outside of work. When she isn’t behind the wheel, Ellen is a talented crafter who enjoys crochet, resin work, and needlepoint. A proud mother of three, she values the time spent with her family and brings that same sense of care to the students she transports every day.
