Dotun enjoys working with families, couples, children, youth, young adults and adults. She is keen about supporting individuals in self development and understanding processes as a plausible option to design, flourish, and sustainably manage unique lived experiences. Her supportive style relies on principles of self – efficacy, mindfulness, unconditional respect and dignity. She pragmatically tailors each support via diverse therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Exposure Therapy, Bowenian Family Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, and concepts of Mindfulness.
During the 2016-2017 school year, Dotun completed her practicum at Third Academy where she worked with diverse children and their family units. She co-facilitated a psychoeducational social skills group for Junior High students at the school and collaborated with teachers to customized students’ learning abilities and experiences. Dotun continues to work with students and family members at Third Academy for the 2017-2018 school year as a Provisional Psychologist.
